The Seventh Day P T 8
1Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array.
2By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been
doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.
3Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.
How Important Is Sabbath Rest?
Written by the man of light 888 on the topic of Sabbath rest.
The Sabbath "is truly for man's regeneration as he rests and the
kidneys can cleanse the blood so that
transfiguration can take place in the Body."
Can you even imagine how God thought of us that we were going to need time to rest.
Well stated by http://christianity.stackexchange.com "God resting on the seventh day was for the benefit of man and not for God's benefit.
Actually the word used in the Hebrew can as easily be translated "ceased" as it is rested.
Jesus gave us insight into this in: Mark 2:27
And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath."
