This is the first night in a long time that I have had a good night sleep, without any of those horrible nightmares. This should be a good thing I hope. My baseball is still sitting on the table next to my bed. Every morning I get up and get ready for school I grab my lucky baseball and place it in my book bag, where it stays through out the day at school. I look over my shoulder towards my bedroom window. Something just doesn't feel right, I can't seem to put my finger on it, but I can't worry about that right now. I have more important things to worry about, like my math final which will be at 9am this morning.
I turn back around to face my bathroom door, then looked at my clock and realized that I am running late. It is now 8:15 and if I don't hurry up I am going to miss the bus. I run to the bathroom to take a quick shower, put on my clothes for the day, grabbed my book bag and ran down stairs. I saw mom at the stove making scrambled eggs.
"Are you going to sit with us and have breakfast dear?" Said mom. "No mom I'm running late!" I said, So I grabbed a bagel with cream cheese from the kitchen table, looked over at Jeff my little brother, gave him a quick smile and ran for the door. I opened the front door to a beautiful morning, the sun's shinning the flowers are vibrant. Then all of a sudden a strange feeling comes over me, Before I knew it a portal opened up and drew me into where I do not know. When I finally landed on the other side I knew I was no longer home.
